Room’s President Game

Sisters having fun work together

DAY THREE AND FOUR

Still worked, quite good on the 3rd, but getting less motivated on the 4th.The 3rd day was the older sister turned to become President.  She was  quite a motivated girl, and kind of kid who likes being in charged. Well, typical 1st child character. This is I guess why she still enjoys the game, instructing her li’l sister this, and that…:), .

The 4th day was a bit different. It was the Li’l sis turn for the president. She was not really motivated. She said ” I don’t want to play this game anymore” she said while laying lazily on the sofa. Hmm, then I make a vote. I said “okay, who wants to be the president now?”. Then her sister in a still motivated mode raise her hand. She shouted ” I want to be the president”. Seeing this, the li’l sister seeing herself as the loser, from her big sis. Then she changed her mind and said ” well,I still wanna be the president”…:). I know she was halfheartedly doing this though :) , but she is still become president then.

The result was good, the room clean even before 7 o’clock (fascinating!because it is in the morning and a holiday time!). Though through the process, I observed that the President today becoming more authoritarian because she is actually feeling lazy, and most of the time she gave ordered to the minister, while she was lazily sit and do nothing….hahaha. But of course the minister was sounding a protest many times, asking the president to also work….hahaha. So I guess we know, if suddenly our leader becoming more authoritarian, probably because s/he actually already tired or too lazy to hold the role her/him self !! :) .

Well, as a reward today, I feel that I must add more bonus to make it still interesting. So, praise them saying that the room becoming even cleaner and neater than before, so I gave 5 more stickers bonus. :)

Hmm …Need to think of more reward for the days ahead. ;)

Anyway, gotta check this book below. Interesting!

Room’s President Game

DAY TWO

This morning, was the little sister becoming the president. It was so funny to see, she was sooo excited. By the time she wanted to clean the room, the minister was still sleeping. I was ironing when the president came to me an grumbled, said, “Mommy, the minister is still sleeping…..”. I then told her that it is her duty to wake the minister up, because the due date is @ 8 o’clock. Then, she woke the minister up! haha…I didn’t even have to wake them up. The minister woke up and also excited.

So, today…it also went pretty well! They both work excitedly cleaning their room, not even one word from my mouth telling them to clean their room!! yeeiiyy!!

When the room is clean, I inspect and I gave 4 stickers, because there are still some sock scattered around and some books not properly put in its place. Then, the president really really happy when I gave the 4 stickers, and she exchanged it with the minister, with other stickers that she likes more….:)

Well done Miss President!!

The president and minister on duty. :)

Room’s President Game

DAY ONE

First day my maid went home! Back to Indonesia, I used to depend again on my assistance, a.k.a my lovely maid to help me run the housework. Anyway, house work back home is impossible to be done without a helper. The house is in 1000m2 land, and the house is 300 m2. How do you expect to clean it all and cook, etc whereas you still need to drive your kids to school, to their extra curriculair activities plus still trying to make additional earning for family?

Soooo….Every time Ied holidays come, like it or not, I must transform myself to become Cinderella (before she became princess of course), Oshin, or whatever you called yourselves in the Facebook’s status :) . However this time, I decided to transform my selves to become the Parliament. In fact, I have the President and the Minister (my daughters) to help me.

This is the game that I just created today so that my 2 daughters (7 and 5 yold), at least, willingly and have fun cleaning their room. Here is the game :

  1. Each day, one of the kids will become a Presidentof their own room and the other become the minister. (they share room). The president will change each day, so each kids have the same number of days for becoming president or minister
  2. I explained to them what clean room is, what is my expectation of their roo3. if the room is according to what I expected, Only the president will get 5 stickers. (luckily my kids still love stickers). It is up to the president what s/he will do with the stickers.
  3. I give the time limit for cleaning room. which is during holiday, at 8 o’clock.

By the time I was writing this blog, voala….!! the kids room has been really cleaned!! It really worked!!! Without me, yelling, and telling them all the time to clean it!!

Soo….today, the oldest was the president, and she got 4 stickers, because I judged the bookshelves is not as tidy as I expected. ….

They are sooo excited to do this! And the good thing is, The president give 2 stickers to the minister….She said, because she already helped her….

So…let’s see whether this game can continue and will work throughout this Lebaran Holiday or not….:)

DAY ONE RESULT

Hmm...clean bed! Day One works!

Mba, Kak, Jeung, Mas,Bang, Kang….Ciiiiiin…..

1. Diet ini terbagi 3 tahap. tahap I,selama 2 minggu.

Salah satu contoh buah GI tinggi : mangga, pisang, dll. Karena buah2an ini membuat kita cepat lapar lagi.

3. Rasa makanan dalam diet ini penting. Harus enak! udah diet masa’ rasa makanannya nggak enak! tersiksa banget kan? jadi disarankan pakai semua bumbu2 yang bikin enak…

Makan Siang / Makan Malam

Menu 1 -grill food

ayam 4 potong (satu ayam dipotong 12 )

dipanggang dengan bawang putih, kecap manis, kecap asin, garam, merica.

Salad dengan dressing olive oil.

Menu 2 – Stir Fry food

Daging sekitar 40 gram (berdua) dipotong kecil2.

Bawang putih, bawang bombay (secukupnya)

baby kaylan, wortel, capsicum (paprika) (sesuai selera)

olive / canola oil 1 sendok makan

Bumbu : Kecap manis, kecap asin, garam, merica, bubuk ketumbar

Cara : tumis bawang putih, kemudia bawang bombay sampai harum.

kemudian masukan daging, tumis sampai matang. Beri bumbu2

Komen2-nya welcome banget….

MY NON HUNGRY ‘N FUN DIET…

fun & healthy

After enjoying too much of lamb chops, steaks, BBQ, seafood platter, yummy cakes, pavlova, OZ pies and all those addictive junky chips, chocolate , etc…, me my hubby decided to start our diet.

The diet that has been proven for me is the “South Beach Diet”, that it has bring back my body weight post partum, 10 kg, in 4 months, last year.

Now, I want to loose 5 kg, and my hubby 8 kgs, and get rid of all this fat around the stomach!

1 & 2nd day ran preety well. We just eat grilled chicken, Tuna salad for lunch and dinner. And for breakfast we ate 2 eggs + 1 tomatoes + onion +1 big mushroom , fried with canolla oil + non fat yoghurt.

I am still stealing on dark chocolate @ supper….just ate 3 blocks, I can’t stand resisting them!! It was hard!! Better not having it at all in your fridge, but they’re all my kids stuff!!!

I did swimming once a week and walk everywhere to drop and fetch kiddos.

My hubby do regular exericise, running 45 minutes every day and swimming 2 times a week ( half an hour)

Let’s see if it will work out!!!
